Frequently Asked Questions

Can I order a custom door with sidelites and or transom?

Yes, coordinating sidelites and transoms are available and can be designed to match your door.

Are custom doors available for interior applications, or only exterior?

Both. Concept® Custom doors are built for interior and exterior applications — same options regardless of where the door is installed inside your home.

Can I paint my Concept® Custom door a dark color?

Yes, with required specifications. Any Concept® Custom door finished in a dark color must be ordered in Nantucket Collection™ construction using Accoya® wood — this is a warranty requirement. Your authorized dealer can make sure your order is spec'd correctly.

What are True Divided Lites (TDL) vs. Simulated Divided Lites (SDL)?

TDL means each pane of glass is individually framed, while SDL uses a single pane of glass with bars then applied on the glass. Simpson offers both options depending on your aesthetic and are offered for the same price.
