House Seven

Like many of us, Interior Stylist Anissa Zajac is a big fan of Pinterest. One day when browsing interior design ideas, the visionary behind beloved blog House Seven stumbled across an image of a door that stopped her in her tracks.

You Dream It, Simpson Creates It

Knowing that Simpson Door Company can create just about any door, in any design, Anissa reached out, seeing if the king of customization could make her door dream a reality. Working together with Simpson’s customer service team, Anissa identified that she wanted her new front door to be crafted out of ash wood to best blend with her take on the modern rustic farmhouse trend.

Going Dutch To Boot

Anissa also took this opportunity to order a Dutched 7482 Exterior Thermal Sash Door for the back of her house, loving the idea of having sunlight filter in, uninhibited. What’s more, the halved-door style can both air out the influencer’s home during boiling Indiana summer days, while keeping her pooches Mumford and Rockie from wandering outside and getting into mischief.

Built To Withstand

Since both the back door and the front door are fairly exposed, Anissa made sure to protect her Simpson works of art with WaterBarrier®. The technology is an easy upgrade that serves as an additional weather-proofer/sealant, a must-have with Indianapolis’ variable weather.

WaterBarrier is also a pre-primer, so when the customized front door and Dutch back door arrived, the House Seven design team had only to apply Sherwin-Williams’ neutral and oh so “Agreeable Gray” before installation. The final result truly pops against the steely “SW Iron Ore” exterior.
