Simpson Invisions™ Glass Provides Maintenance-Free Venetian Blind

MCCLEARY, Wash. - Simpson Door Company introduces Invisions™ Glass, an innovative solution for providing privacy in exterior French and sash doors. Simpson Invisions features a horizontal venetian blind sealed between two pieces of tempered glass, creating an insulated glass unit that is extremely energy efficient. And since the blind is protected on both sides by glass, it can never become damaged or collect dust, making the blind literally maintenance-free. The built-in feature helps maintain a door's beautiful appearance as compared to typical blinds that can slap against the door when opened. And homeowners don't have to fuss with strings, poles or other cumbersome operating mechanisms to operate the stationary blind. A small, magnetic finger-touch guide slides easily to control the swivel of the blind, tilting it open and shut. The blind is constructed of aluminum and comes in white. Invisions Glass is offered with two standard door designs--full-lite French and half-lite sash--that come standard in Douglas Fir, Western Hemlock and American Red Oak, but can be ordered in any wood species from Simpson's Custom Manufacturing Facility. The doors are 1-3/4" thick, constructed in a variety of standard widths between 2'6" and 3'6", and heights of 6'8", 7'0" and 8'0".
