Simpson Adds New Doors Featuring Magnetic Chalkboard Panels
MCCLEARY, Wash. - Encourage kids to write on the walls? That's essentially what Simpson Door Company is saying with an innovative new collection of interior doors. These doors are constructed using a unique process that combines engineered wood stiles and rails and panels made up of a ¼"-thick specialty material. This material is magnetic and looks and acts just like a chalkboard.
Simpson's chalkboard panel doors are perfect for families on the go, whether it's used in the kitchen, pantry or a kid's room. Children can post artwork from school or create original works of art directly on the door itself. And mom and dad will like it as a place to post grocery, to-do and honey-do lists or simply as a place to write reminders for other members of the family.
The new doors are available in three design configurations. Choose from one door-length chalkboard panel, two vertically-stacked chalkboard panels separated by a rail and the same configuration of two panels with a chalkboard panel on top and a ¼" wood panel below. Each door is 1-3/8" thick and can be specified in heights of 6'8", 7'0" and 8'0" and in a succession of widths from 2'0" to 3'0". Simpson chalkboard panel doors come standard in Douglas Fir, Western Hemlock, American Red Oak, maple and cherry and can be constructed in virtually any wood species at Simpson's Custom Door Facility.
